On Your Special Day

Hiya everyone, well here at last, been a fun few days, what with my son having a freak accident at school and badly dislocating his knee. Have been keeping an eye on him overnight so have had a couple of sleepless nights...oh the joys of being a parent!!
Anyway on to my latest makes.....here I have made a card and decorated a gift bag to match for any special day for example to give to a Bridesmaid or even the Bride....I have used the digi image Pigtail Polly which you can purchase here, and coloured her in using Promarkers. For the rest of the materials I have used Creata mirror/backing card and lace ribbon for the borders,  I have used Joy Craft flower and Spellbinders blossom dies to create the flower toppers and tag from the same Creata mirror/backing and silky card with a brad to finish. The leaves I had in my stash and stenciled onto Creata mirror card and cut out. Finishing off with some more lace ribbon, bakers twine and peel offs..

Creative Moments DT Call and New Challenge.......

Good morning one and all, I recently applied for and was chosen for a DT position at Creative Moments Challenge blog. My third Dt post in a couple of weeks....Well you know what they say, everything comes in threes, so I'm one very happy bunny!!!
Anyway, a new challenge has started over there this morning and the theme is based on a photo inspiration....

Well here is my DT project that I created...... I have used the digi image Fairy Fae by Delicious Doodles, which can be purchased here and coloured in using Promarkers. For the background, I have used a mixture of Creata backing paper card and also for the ribbon bow. I used Joy Craft dies for the leaves, flowers and flourishes, made from paper card from my stash. I also used the X-Cut Vintage Notes doily die, finished off with Dovecraft teaparty buttons and crochet flowers/gems from my stash. I do hope you like my first project!!!

Welcome to my first DT post for 'My Besties UK'

Morning all, still can't believe it, but welcome to my first Design Team post for My Besties UK, a new challenge has started and the theme is 'Circles', please pop over and join in the fun, there are fab prizes up for grabs for the Winners.

So here goes.....for my first project I have used the Sherri Baldy digi Image no.857 which you can purchase here and coloured in using Promarkers. For my card background, after I cut it in the shape of a circle, I coloured it using a mixture of Ranger distress inks peeled paint and bundled sage, I used Creata backing card for the scalloped edged topper and for the tree. All around I layered up leaves cut out from Creata mirror card using Joy Craft dies in keeping with the earthy tones. For the flowers I used glittered card from my stash cut out using Joy Craft dies and Papermania brads for the centre, I also used Anita's paper roses. To finish off I used shimmer dots to create the rain effect and jewel for the little girl's bow also from my stash and for the sentiment, I made this up on my pc, printed on white card and backed with Creata mirror card cut out using Spellbinder scalloped circle dies. Exciting DT news and Sweet Summer....

Morning all ...On to my second posting of the week, what a whirlwind of a week I've had, what with my wedding anniversary at the weekend and the fab happy news that I have been asked to join the Design Team on two, ...... yes two...... fantastic Challenge Blogs, one for a very new and exciting one which will begin on Thursday 5th September ---- 4 Krafty Girlz Challenges ---- and the other for the fab ---- My Besties uk  ---- I'm so thrilled and excited to be joining these two wonderful teams of talented Ladies-----Please pop over it would be So lovely to see you all there!!

Now catching up with myself ....phew.... on to my card that I made for the Stamping Chef's Challenge on their facebook group, using their digi 'Sweet Summer', which can be purchased here, coloured in using Promarkers and detailing  belt and shoes with stickles glue and her lips with glossy accents, both by Ranger.   Using picures of postcards from all over the world, that I found on the net, I created my own backing paper, that I backed onto Creata mirror card. I also created the two film strips and stamps, also using pictures I found too! Finishing off with ribbon and jewels from my own stash to complete the look.

Our Anniversary

Good afternoon everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend....I had a fab one...plus it was my wedding anniversary yesterday....23 years, gosh where has the time gone.....it's flown past...Had a lovely pub lunch with Hubby...on our own...for a change!! Anyway would love to share with you the card that I made for him....

For this I have used Creata mirror, backing and silky card, Joy Craft leaf and corner dies, for the owls I used Stamping Up's owl punch and Avec buttons for eyes and finished off with Papermania red hearts...

Just for 'shoe'....

Good morning, time for another little update...sharing with you another lovely digi by 'Glamoureyes', large flower shoe....had fun playing with this as I had a go at card/paper piecing, using Creata mirror/ silky card and glitter card from my stash, which I think turned out ok, shall leave that up to you to decide!! I then coloured the flower using my Promarkers and decoupaged it finishing it with a brad. For the rest of the card I used Creata mirror, backing and silky card, butterfly, leaf, flower and flower corner Joy Craft dies, Spellbinders eyelet square die, Anita's paper roses, gems and brad from my  own stash..
