It's All About The Hair - My Besties UK Challenge and Blog Hop

Good morning Crafters, today we have a new challenge and blog hop starting over at My Besties UK, the theme being ''It's all about the hair''


For my project sample I have used the digi image 156, which you can purchase here, printed on watercolour card and cut out using Spellbinders grand decorative ovals 1 and coloured using Promarkers Almond, Blush, Orchid, Amethyst, Bluebell, China Blue and Pear Green. Backing paper I used was Creata 12x12 topped on to Creata mirror card. Flourishes were die cut using Joy Craft die and a mixture of Creata Silky and mirror card. I embellished using Sherri Baldy dies Hearts and Love, the sequined flower, ribbons and lace ribbon were all from my stash!

I See Fluffy....

Good morning all, I would first like to take this opportunity to wish my youngest Daniel a very 'Happy 14th Birthday' .... Hope you have a fab day!

Well it's that time again for another new challenge over at Craftitude Challenges. The theme being Anything Goes or I See Fluffy...... our sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles and the image I have used is 'Away With The Bunnies' which you can purchase here. So on to my my creation, here is what I have come up with......

For my background I have used both Creata mirror board topped with 12x12 backing paper. I topped my image on to again two Creata backing paper cards, both cut out using Spellbinders Labels 8 and Decorative Labels 8 dies. I coloured my image in using Promarkers Blossom, Baby Pink, Rose Pink, Almond, Putty, Blush, Antique Pink, Pear Green, Sandstone, Tan and Cerise.

To finish off I added  flourishes and flowers using Creata mirror board and backing paper card cut out from Joy Craft dies. Other items used were sequined flower, resin flowers and pearl gems all from my stash.

Love Music

Morning everyone, well this morning sees another challenge starting over at Crafty Girls. As always our theme is 'Anything Goes'. Our sponsor this week is Dilly Beans.....
I have used their digi image Heart Fairy Framed which you can purchase here. So here is what I came up with :-

For my background I used Creata heart stamp with Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick distress ink. I have used Creata backing papers as my base for the digi, which I coloured in using Promarkers Poppy, Baby Pink, Antique Pink, Almond, Putty, Blush, Caramel, Cinnamon and Pear Green. To finish off I cut out the new Joy Craft music die in Creata mirror board and added with music peel offs, crochet flower, resin flowers, pearls and brad from my stash. The flourishes were made from Creata backing paper card and mirror board using Joy Craft die.

From Trash to Treasure.....

Good morning all, hope you have had a fab weekend, mine has been spent sleeping on and off, feeling sooo tired and 'pooped'....Still can't shake this infection off yet...hopefully soon!!!

Well since this is supposed to be 'Blue Monday'.....why not cheer yourself up and pop over to Creata Challenge for our new Upcycle 'From Trash to Treasure' challenge ....

To give you a little inspiration, I decided to re-do an old pen holder and covered it using Creata 12x12 backing paper. I used Joy Craft Banner die, Alphabet die, Flowers and Flourishes dies and Butterfly die. Other papers used were backing paper card and mirror board and to finish off I used Creata peel offs and resin flowers, brads and gems from my stash!

Girl's Love To Shop....

Good morning all, hope you have had a wonderful weekend.....Mine was spent catching up with family, which was fun! Can't believe we are back to Monday again, where are the weeks going?!

Well since it's Monday and two weeks have passed, it must be that time again.....yes it's time for our new My Besties UK challenge...... This weeks theme is Girls Love To Shop!


For my sample this week I have used the image 162 by Sherri Baldy, which you can purchase here. I coloured the image using Promarkers, Almond, Blush, Cerise, Turquoise, Blossom, Baby Pink, Powder Blue, Meadow Green, Sandstone, Lavender and Honeycomb. I cut out image using Spellbinders Label eight and mounted on to Creata metalic card, die cut using decorative label eight. I have used Creata backing paper, mirror and backing paper card as my background. To finish off, I used flowers, resin flowers, lace ribbon and gems from my stash. I added Joy Craft die cut flourishes from Creata backing paper card and for my sentiment, I printed and topped on Creata backing paper card. And finally I added a bit of sparkle using Ranger Stickle diamond glitter glue and Creative Expressions enchanted gold guilding wax. So for your inspiration here is my sample...

Craftitude New Challenge.....

Good morning Folks, how are we all today, ..... I must admit I've been feeling pretty awful, have had a sinus headache for a couple or so days now and it's driving me madder than normal!!!

Anyway we have a new Anything Goes/Ribbons and Pearls challenge starting over at Craftitude, so why not come and play with us, there are fab prizes up for grabs!!

To give you some inspiration here is my sample. I have used the digi image Belle Pin Up by Sassy Studios, which you can purchase here.
A bit of an homage to my son, who played Lumiere in his school show before Christmas!! Well done Daniel!!

I coloured in stamp using my Promarkers, Canary Yellow, Mustard, Tan, Sandstone, Almond, Blush, Antique Pink and China Blue. My background, I used an image from the internet and placed this on to Creata mirror card, along with the Lumiere image too. The rose image I had in my stash.....for the sentiment, I printed the verse on to white card, added a couple of music note peel-offs and mounted also on to Creata mirror card. To finish off I added a bow/charm and gems from my stash. I added some Stickles Frosted Lace glitter glue to the rose and some Diamond to Belle's dress and also to highlight Lumiere's flames!

Stamping with Carley on Create and Craft....

My second post of the day....I just wanted to share with you a taster of my samples that I have been busy making earlier this week for Carley's show on Create and Craft today at 1pm.....Hope you like them!!

My Samples
For this I used Creata silky and mirror card, Heart stamp set and a free sentiment from the internet.

For this sample I used the Creata Butterfly stamp set, Creata mirror and backing paper card, Joy craft flower and flourish dies.

I just had to use our Carley digi stamp by Sherri Baldy as my main theme for this sample. I coloured in using my Promarkers. All backing papers are from Creata , as are the cupcake/bow stamps and sentiment topper.

Creata items used for this sample are the Horse stamp, Heart 12x12 backing paper, mirror card, backing paper card, Joy craft flower and flourish dies.

So on to my final sample, I know it's so 'Oooh la la'.....for this I used the Creata Paris stamps, Heart stamps, silky/metalic card, mirror card, Joy Craft flower and flourish dies and what sets this off is this fab image called Selina, by The Stamping Chef.

Green for go....

Morning everyone, how are we all today?....... Well this morning sees the first challenge of 2014 for Crafty Girls....As usual it's an 'Anything Goes' theme....Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps, and I have used their digi, Silhouette Butterfly Flowers for my sample....and here is what I have come up with...

I first of all printed the image on to Creata silky card and cut out, I backed it on to Creata dark green mirror card, that I die cut using Spellbinders scalloped circle die. For the backing I used Creata backing paper card and I used Spellbinders decorative labels eight die to cut out Creata backing paper card and mounted this on to black Creata mirror card. To finish off I used ribbon, flower and sentiment topper from my own stash. I inked the sentiment topper using Tim Holtz distress ink Pine Needles and edged using Ranger stickles glitter glue....

'Happy New Year' and New Beginnings.....

Good morning.....Happy New year everyone........Hope you all had a lovely time over Christmas, just can't believe that's it all over for another year! Where does the time go!!!

Well here we are with a New year and a new challenge at Creata Challenge Blog, this weeks theme is very namely apt......'New Beginnings' !!!

For my sample I have taken the theme of New Home. Creata products I have used are birdhouse stamp, 12x12 cardboard backing paper, mirror board, backing paper card, various Joycraft dies, peel offs and kraft card as my base card. I coloured in stamped image with Promarkers sandstone, tan, baby pink, pear green and antique pink. I die cut out 12x12 cardboard paper using Spellbinders labels eight and mounted on to more cardboard paper, this was topped on to mirror board. I cut out flowers and flourishes from backing paper card using Joy craft dies, the birds were cut from backing paper card using the Lin and Lene die. I finished off using ribbon, brads and gem from my own stash.
