Happy New Year ...

Hiya Folks, Hope you all had a fab weekend, I had a lovely couple of days chilling, then caught up with the sssshhhh ...HW... though now it looks as if I never did it...lol ... Anyways, I'm here this morning with my Wednesday showcase with the last image from the 'Thistle Collection' by Delightful Digi's...and here is what I created... a 'New Year' card
My Project
Products Used
Delightful Digi's - Thistle corner image
Heritage - Auld Lang Syne rubber stamp
Spellbinders - Labels seventeen die
Promarkers - Lime zest, Pear green, Marsh green, Lavender, Lilac and Amethyst
Crafty Notions - Sunshine gilding flakes
Cosmic Shimmer - Frosted Lavender Twinkles
Ribbon, gems and backing paper from my stash

Using word document, I created the positions of the thistle image, as shown and printed on to paper. Coloured using Promarkers then adding gilding flakes. I printed out the purple tartan backing paper, which should look familiar, as it is my blog background!! Thought it was very apt for this and matches in well. I stamped out the 'Auld Lang Syne' then die cut it and added the glitter glue round the edge. To finish off I added the glitter ribbon and gems....

Thank You ..

Morning Folks, a new wee post from me today, how are you all, hope you had a lovely weekend and that you are having a good week...Well after a bad start last week, this one for me is going good the now....touch wood!!! Although had a trip to the dentist yesterday for some work and more next week, hopefully that will be me for quite a while as I'm not fond of them!! Anyhoo's I'm here this morning to share with you all my DT project I have created using another fab image from the 'Thistle Collection' (here) and backing paper (here), both by Delightful Digi's...
My Sample
 Products Used
Delightful Digi's - Thistle image and Thistle backing paper
Spellbinders - Scalloped circle and 'Thank You' dies
Papermania - Ribbon
ProMarkers - Lime Zest, Pear Green, Marsh Green, Lavender, Lilac and Amythest
Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles (Colours by Phill Martin) - Frosty Heather and Frosty Jade
Pearls, Gem and backing card from my stash

First of all, instead of printing out the thistle backing paper, I printed straight on to the front of a 7x7 plain card after changing the colour to compliment the mink card and ribbon. Then I printed out the thistle image and carefully cut round it. I coloured the image using the various ProMarkers and adding the Twinkles glue for effect. I die cut a scalloped circle slightly larger and layered the image topper on top. I trimmed the side with the ribbonand added bow with a gem. I placed the topper, adding the die cut sentiment and finishing off with the pearls...

A Guid New Year!

Morning Folks, well not had a good start to the week what with one thing and another including slicing my finger twice, (ouchhhh) with my craft scissors, lack of concentration on my part!! Scheduled blog post not posting yesterday, anyways eventually I'm here showcasing one of the fantastic new images from the 'Thistle Collection' by Delightful Digi's , very apt for me!!!
So without further ado here is my first sample, an easy to make desk calendar....
My Sample
Products Used
Delightful Digi's - Thistle 3 image
Papermania - Calendar and ribbon
Promarkers - Lavender, Lilac, Amethyst, Pear green, Lime zest and Marsh green
Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles - Frosty Heather and Frosty Jade
Various card and gems from my stash

First of all I took an A4 sheet of green card from my stash and scored as shown here marked in black, using the Hougie Board then folded to create a DL shape ...

I printed the image on to watercolour card, added some text, coloured with Promarkers, cut to size and layered on lilac then silver card, trimming the corners. Adding some Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles to highlight! I layered together a strip of silver and lilac card, placing this across the middle of the calendar, adding the image topper to the left, then layered calender topper to the right, finishing off with ribbon and gems from my stash...

Trick or Treat - New Challenge at Crafty Addicts

Morning all, welcome to a brand new challenge this morning over at The Crafty Addicts. Our sponsors for this month are Sassy Studio Designs and A day for Daisies, the latter I have used. The image I chose is Vintage Spider Costume. I know a little early for Halloween but I really loved this image. Instead of a card I decided to create a pillow treat box, very apt for trick or treating!! So without further ado, here is the finished creation:-
My Project
Products Used
A Day for Daisies - Vintage Spider Costume
Papermania - Halloween backing paper, sentiment sticker and adhesive gems
X-cut dies - Pillow box
Promarkers - Lavender, Lilac, Almond and Blush
Prima - Flower
Glitter card and ribbon from my stash

First of all I die cut out the pillow box using X-Cut die, I added ribbon across box. I die cut the corner spiders web with glitter card joining together to make a full web and layered on top of the ribbon. I printed out the image to size and coloured with Promarkers adding onto the web. To finish off I added the flower, gems, sentiment and ribbon bow.

Monochrome Birthday

Hiya Folks, how are you all, hope you have had a fab holiday weekend!! Mine has been great and still is, hubby and I have taken a break away for a few days, visiting his cousin down in Derbyshire. Have been having a lovely time, even managed to spend a day at Phill Martin's Craftathon on Sunday, what a fab day, brill demos by both Phill and Julia Watts too!! Met some lovely ladies too, Alison, Babs and Meg....not to forget Phill's right hand help, the lovely Barb!! I'm now planning my next trip down for November!!!!!
Well onto today, I'm here showcasing my new DT project for A Crafty Mess new challenge which starts this morning. Our sponsor this month is the fab Morgans Artworld and the image I've used is Goth Fairy. Here is my finished project...
My Project
Products used
Morgan's Artworld - Digi Image
Indigo Blu - Flourish stamp
Visible Image - Sentiment stamp
Papermania - Adhesive gems
Memento- Black Ink

Decided that I would like to do another monochrome card, can't go wrong with them, so I started by stamping Indigo Blu flourish in top corner, then added black ribbon down opposite side, along with black glitter paper and black velvet patterned paper I had in my stash. I printed out image then, layered on to more black glitter paper and then white card. Placing this on top of the layered papers, stamping Visible Image birthday sentiment and finishing off with adding pearls and gems.....Here are some more photos....
