''Christmas in July''

Hi there,
Wow what fantastic weather we are getting in my part of Scotland, been like this for 2 to 3 weeks with the odd bit of rain though still very warm. Hope it lasts a bit longer, though I'm not one to sit out in it!! Anyways, hoping this might help to keep us cool, I'm here to share with you another little bit of ''Christmas in July''. I've been loving Hunkydory's new Christmas ranges, so I just had to have another little spend to add to my ever growing stash! Lol...And here is what I created with my new goodies, hope you like it!

On a 7x7 scalloped card blank, I matt and layered tartan adorable scorable with gold mirri card for my base. The poinsettia is a new stamp from For the Love of Stamps called ''Perfect Poinsettia'' and is absolutely fabulous! I stamped the image 6 times on watercolour card then cut each in different sizes to be able to decoupage it. Before putting together, I coloured with my LuminArte Twinkling H2O's that I haven't used in a very long time and I must say I think it turned out brill!. I added some 'Ice Diamond' glitter to the edges of the leaves and petals for effect. I die cut holly leaves and berries from the same watercolour card and coloured with the H2O's too and adding pearl drops to complete the berries, then  die cut pine sprigs from gold mirri card. Finishing off with a die cut sentiment and some pearl gems.

Creative Crafters Challenge #42

 Hi there,

It's time again for a new challenge over at The Creative Crafters blog and I'm here to share with you my DT project. As always our challenge theme is ''Anything Goes'' and so for this month I chose to create a Christmas card with matching gift bag and here they are...hope you like them!

For the card, I created the topper by layering die-cut ribbled kraft card with matt-tastic card ''paper & Woods'' that I printed Christmas music image on to. Adding die-cut vellum poinsettia (created veins on the back for effect using ball tools), foliage, berry sprigs and pine cone, with gold mirri 'Merry Christmas' sentiment. I finished off with a ribbled kraft card border and die cut glitter paper stars with gems. The gift bag I did exactly the same but with die-cut 'Peace' sentiment.

'Midnight Black' Diamond Sparkle Glitter Card
Glamourous Gold Mirri Card
Matt-tastic ''Paper&Woods'' Patterned Card

July CAAB Inspiration using Mary:African Mom

 Hi there

Today it's my turn to share some DT inspiration for Cute As A Button. Here I am using Mary:African Mom. Isn't she fabulous, here is what I created using her...

The image I coloured using promarkers then added the geometric pattern (had found ages ago on the internet thought it very apt for paper piecing) after printing image on to it. In keeping with the colour theme of the pattern, I used a 5x7 black card blank, which I matt and layered green, gold and patterned paper onto, along with a multi coloured fabric ribbon border. To decorate I created gold vellum die cut flowers and green foliage which I placed as shown along ribbon border. Finishing off with glitter glue centres in flowers and gold pearl gems.

Materials Used
Cute As A Button - 'Mary:African Mom' Image
Promarkers - Cinnamon; Mustard; Pastel Yellow; Shale; Cornflower; Pear Green; Peach & Ice Grey 1, 2 & 3
Limited Edition Promarkers - Morning Mist & March Hare
Hunkydory - Matt-tastic Green Card; Gold Vellum; Moonstone 'Lovely Leaves' & 'Fabulous Flowers' Dies
Ranger - 'Blueberry Ice' Stickles Glitter Glue
My Stash - Gold Linen Card; Patterned Paper; Fabric Ribbon & Gold Gems

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and hope that you enjoyed your visit. Your feedback is always very much appreciated and would love you to follow my blog, if you aren't already.

For the base I die cut lavender non-shed glitter card and layered with a lovely floral shimmer die cut. The image I printed in reverse and carefully cut out, I coloured using promarkers and added touches of glitter for effect. I created the floral border using die cut lavender parchment for the flowers and various green card for foliage and finished off with peel-off sentiment.
