Cute As A Button Challenge - #72

 Hi there,

A new challenge has started over at Cute As A Button. As always our challenge themes are 'Anything Goes', though we do have a twist of 'Lots of Layers'. For my DT project this month I am using this super cute image called Fine Wine. This is what I created, hope you like it and that it gives you some inspiration to stop by and join us for our challenge...

So this month, I decided to create a book fold box with card. The box I created was made from kraft card, outside size 14cm, spine just under 3cm and inside box 13cm, then matt and layered with mirri card and co-ordinating papers on the front along with the image, that I coloured with promarkers and placed as shown on box. I decorated with die cut parchment flowers and die cut foliage, adding glitter glue and pearl gem to complete. The card I made from the same kraft card and measures 12cmx12cm, so fits nicely in box. For this I added the sentiment (which I saw on line and printed using word doc) and wine glass image topper and completed the look with more die cut flowers and foliage...

''Christmas in July''

Hi there,
Wow what fantastic weather we are getting in my part of Scotland, been like this for 2 to 3 weeks with the odd bit of rain though still very warm. Hope it lasts a bit longer, though I'm not one to sit out in it!! Anyways, hoping this might help to keep us cool, I'm here to share with you another little bit of ''Christmas in July''. I've been loving Hunkydory's new Christmas ranges, so I just had to have another little spend to add to my ever growing stash! Lol...And here is what I created with my new goodies, hope you like it!

On a 7x7 scalloped card blank, I matt and layered tartan adorable scorable with gold mirri card for my base. The poinsettia is a new stamp from For the Love of Stamps called ''Perfect Poinsettia'' and is absolutely fabulous! I stamped the image 6 times on watercolour card then cut each in different sizes to be able to decoupage it. Before putting together, I coloured with my LuminArte Twinkling H2O's that I haven't used in a very long time and I must say I think it turned out brill!. I added some 'Ice Diamond' glitter to the edges of the leaves and petals for effect. I die cut holly leaves and berries from the same watercolour card and coloured with the H2O's too and adding pearl drops to complete the berries, then  die cut pine sprigs from gold mirri card. Finishing off with a die cut sentiment and some pearl gems.

Hunkydory
  Adorable Scorable Festive Tartan Card
Glamourous Gold Mirri Card

To decorate I created gold vellum die cut flowers and green foliage which I placed as shown along ribbon border. Finishing off with glitter glue centres in flowers and gold pearl gems.

Hi there, it's the 15th of the month, so that means a new challenge has started over at The Creative Crafters. For my DT inspiration I am sharing this Valentine card that I made for my OH. I had seen something similar on the internet, so this is my take on it...

On a 5x7 card blank, I matt and layered red linen card with black/white plaid card. The topper I created using the same red linen card, on this I stenciled a heart shape, then placed these fun 'googly' eyes inside. I took some white card, printed sentiments and die cut the same heart shape, then placed this over. Adding some red die cut heart shapes to finish...
