Sparkle and Shine......

Good morning all, hope you have had a wonderful weekend, I know I did.....it was my birthday yesterday and spent the day with my Hubby and two Sons.....I got lovely presents of a bottle of Opium perfume, a Despicable me2 dvd, a camera stand and a gorgeous necklace and pair of earrings, we then went out and did some Christmas shopping, afterwards we went for a lovely meal...then back home and back to more crafting....no rest for the wicked!!

On to this morning, we have a new challenge starting over at Creata Challenge Blog, our theme this week being ''Sparkle and Shine'', so here is my sample for some inspiration for you!

Creata products used were.......Mirror card, Backing paper, Double-sided paper and Flower die. The digi image I used is #421 ''Hooter Framed'' by Dillybeans. I coloured in using Promarkers, then added some Ranger glitter glue round the edge to add sparkle. I topped this on to two different patterned Creata glittered backing papers both topped on to mirror card. I die cut flowers from double-sided paper and mirror card using Joy craft die and added brads, fabric flower and gems from my stash. Hope this has given you some inspiration to hop over and join in the fun....fab prizes up for grabs!! You will also see some more gorgeous samples by the rest of the design team!!

Jingle Bells - My Besties UK Challenge and Blog Hop

Good morning Fellow Crafters, today we have a new challenge and blog hop starting over at My Besties UK, the theme being Jingle Bells!


For my project sample I have used the digi image A7, coloured in using Promarkers, Tan, Sandstone, Crimson, Pear and Meadow Green, Shale and Walnut. I layered Creata backing paper card on to mirror board as my base. I cut out digi and mirror board using Spellbinders grand circle and scalloped circle respectively. For embellishing I die cut the Marianne fir branch from Creata silky card, the bell from both silky and mirror card. I added flowers, ribbon, brad and gem from my stash!.

Hark the Herald......

Morning Folks, a new challenge has started this morning over at Craftitude, our theme being Anything Goes/Christmas Sparkle. For this I have used the image High Angel by Digi Darla. Here is what I created....

For my project, I coloured the image with Promarkers, Almond, Blush, China Blue, Cool Grey 1, Buttercup and Satin. I glittered the wings using Gelly Roll pen Clear Star and for her sash I used Gelly Roll Gold. I used Creata mirror board and backing paper card for my base. The music sheet was a freebie off the internet. For the embellishments I used Creata flower forming and Metalic rub on transfers. To finish I used gems and ribbon from my stash.

Something different ! ....

Morning everyone, hope you are all well, there have been a few nausea/stomach bugs going round and unfortunately I caught one of them. Been feeling rotten for a few days...hopefully it will pass soon! Anyway on a brighter note, we have a new Anything Goes challenge starting over at Crafty Girls. I wanted to do something different other than a card, so here is what I came up with.....A Christmas hanging decoration!

For this I have used the Annalise digi by Glamoureyes which you can buy here. I coloured in using Promarkers, Almond, Blush, Buttercup, Satin, Lavender, Lilac and China Blue. I used Ranger Crystal stickle glitter glue over her wings and used Clear Gelly Roll pen as highlights. I die cut out the snowflake using Sizzix Bigz die with paper from my stash, I also added gems and ribbon from my stash to decorate. What do you think?!

New Challenge over at Creata - Sketch Theme

Morning Folks, sorry I've not been on for a couple of days, thought I'd scheduled this but obviously it never worked, so on to the new challenge that started on Monday morning over at Creata...The theme being a Sketch challenge....


Here is my interpretation.....what do you think? ...

I have used a Creata red base card, topped with backing paper card, silky card die cut out using Joy shaped die and foiled 3d stickers. The digi I used is the image 815 by Sherri Baldy. I coloured in using Promarkers, Red, Bright Green, Leaf Green, Canary, Powder Blue, Sandstone, Tan, Almond and Blush. I die cut this out using Spellbinders scalloped circle die. Foe embellishing I used the Creata metalic rub on transfers and gems, sentiment from my stash!

Blue, White and Silver.....

Good morning Crafty Friends and Bloggers, hope you have all had a lovely weekend, I spent a lovely couple of days down at my In-Laws, now all back to normal, youngest away to school and me back to blogland!.....Well this morning sees a new challenge starting over at My Besties UK, our theme this week is colour related......Blue, White and Silver. So here is my sample project for some inspiration:-

My sample this week has been made using digi image 029, by Sherri Baldy. Stamped on to water colour card, die cut using Spellbinders labels eight and coloured in using Promarkers, Almond, Blush, Cool Grey 1, Powder Blue and China Blue, I added white flocking powder from my stash to the hat and gloves, Ranger Stickles glitter glue to the bauble, then topped on to Creata mirror board die cut with Spellbinders decorative labels eight. I used Creata mirror board as my background, topped with 4 x Creata silky card squares, embossed with Cuttlebug swirls folder and Crafters Companion, The Snowman snow flake folder. For embellishing, I used flowers from my stash, topped with snowflakes and leaf florishes die cut using Joy Craft die and Creata mirror board. I also die cut the snowman using Joy Craft die and Creata mirror board. To finish I used gems from my stash and sentiment stamped using Craftes Companinon Snowman stamps topped on Creata mirror board.

My DT Diary......

Good afternoon fellow Crafters, I would like to share with you my challenge entry for The Stamping Chef's 1st Birthday Challenge. I used the free ''Keep Calm & Craft'' digi fabulously designed and drawn by the even more fabulous Tamara Van Wrijk.....

For my base I used my DT Diary and coverd using Creata patterned backing card, the free TSC digi which I coloured in using Promarkers. For embellishments I die cut leaf flourishes using Joy Craft die and Creata mirror board, the flowers, brads, gems and ribbon were all from my stash. The sentiment I made up by die cutting 1 Spellbinders scalloped circle and circle die and added peel offs to finish....Now I will be able to keep myself up-to-date with my work...Lol!

New Challenge at Craftitude........

Good morning Folks...hope you are all keeping warm in this cold weather...that's one thing I hate and that's being cold when I'm trying to craft!...Well this morning sees a new Anything Goes/Button Up (Add a Button) challenge over at Craftitude. For my sample I have used the Stamp Christmas Girl by Eureka Stamps.

For my sample I used Creata mirror board for my background, then cut out 4 9cm squares of Creata silky card and embossed using folders in my stash. I printed digi on to water colour card and coloured using Promarkers, Almond, Blush, Sandstone, Tan, China Blue, Denim and Cool Grey 1. I cut it out using Spellbinders label eight and mounted on to Creata mirror board cut out using decorative labels eight. For embellishing I used flowers, brads, gems, and charms from my stash. I used the Joy Craft snowflake and leaf flourish dies on Creata mirror board. The sentiment I stamped using the Snowman clear stamps by Crafter's Companion.

Santa's Little Helper

Morning Crafty and Blogger Friends, this morning sees the start of another new Anything Goes challenge over at Crafty Girls, I have used the digi Herself the Elf by Floppy Latte, one of our Sponsors this week, so here is what I have come up with:-

For my sample I started off with a plain black card blank, I stamped Christmas trees and Santa sleigh, both free from Creative Stamping magazine, with Versamark clear ink and embossed with bright white Wow embossing powder. I die cut the Joy Craft small snowflake twice from Creata grey mirror board, and sanded back to show the silver underneath, added gems from my stash as snowdrops. I cut out a piece of the same Creata card in a snowdrift shape and sanded back too...added some silver Ranger Stickle glue and some silver ink to edge. I coloured the image using Promarkers, Pine, Red, Almond, Blush, Tan and Cinnamon. To finish off I used diamond Ranger Stickle glue on the belt to highlight.

'For a Princess' - New Creata Challenge

Morning Folks, hope you all had a lovely weekend, well I had a nice one, on Saturday my youngest and I went to see Dr Who at the cinema, what an experience...the atmosphere was fabulous and seeing all the little kids and even ''big'' kids all dressed up as their favourite Dr was priceless....

Now on to this morning, I'm here on my first DT project for the new challenge starting over at Creata Challenge. Our theme this week is 'For a Princess'.......So here is my sample project for some inspiration:-

The Creata products used were Silky card, Double-sided backing card, Patterned backing card, Butterfly dies, Daisy flower die and Flourish die......All of which you can purchase here. I used the silky card as my backing, topped with double-sided card. I used the digi 'Princess Twinkle Toes' by Sherri Baldy, coloured in using Promarkers, Almond, Blush, Rose pink, Baby pink, Pear green, Leaf green and Grey tone 1. then I cut out using Spellbinders labels eight and topped on Creata Silky card cut out using decorative labels eight. Butterflies were cut out from Silky card using Joy Craft dies, flowers and flourishes from patterned backing card and Joy Craft dies. To finish off, I used a Craftwork Cards sentiment topper, on top of Creata patterned backing card cut out using Spellbinders scalloped circles, gems and brads from my own stash.

Mmmm Yummy Cakes!!

Good morning Folks, hope you are keeping all wrapped up and warm in this freezing weather....brrrrr it's cold outside!!! Well as promised here is a couple more of my DT sample cards for Carley's Creata cake show yesterday....

1. Creata products used were mirror board with metal embossing plate, set of butterfly stamps, and strawberry's from the Cake stamp set......


2. Creata products used were cake stamp set, heart stamp set, mirror board with metal embossing plate and double-sided backing paper.....


3. Creata products used were double-sided backing paper and mirror board with metal embossing plate....


4. And finally Creata products used here were mirror board with metal embossing plate, double-sided backing paper and bow stamp set.....

Fantastic and Exciting News..........

Good morning Crafty Friends, I have been bursting to tell you all my fantastic news.....though some of you might know already....so here it is...I am so happy and excited to say that I was asked by Carley Duff from Creata,when I met her at the NEC a couple of weeks ago, to join her Sister's of Craft DesignTeam A alongside the wonderful and lovely Gill McCall and Caroline Spice, you could have floored me....I was totally gobsmacked...yes me..gobsmacked lol....I still am, think it will be a while before I come down from the ceiling though!!! So thank you very much Carley, I am so happy, thrilled and privileged!.  Well tomorrow at 1pm on Carley's Cake Adventure show on Create and Craft will be my DT samples debut....How thrilled, excited and nervous am I! Hope to see you all watching with a drink in one hand and a cake in the other!!! So to give you a sneek preview here is one of my samples.......

For this I have used the following items that are available to buy from C&C.......


The base of my card I used the Double-Sided card and added two strips of double-sided tape with glitter from my stash, on top. For the topper I used Sherri Baldy Carley digi and coloured with Promarkers keeping to my pink theme. I die cut out both the digi and Creata Mirror card using Spellbinders decorative ovals and added gems from my stash. For embellishing I stamped out the cake and strawberry using the above Creata Cake stamps set and again coloured in using Promarkers. I die-cut out various leaves using Joy Craft dies and to finish I used flowers, buttons, pearls and Craftwork Card sentiment from my stash.

Well I hope you like my first sample, I will add more pictures tomorrow of the rest!

Falling Leaves......New Challenge at Craftitude!

Good Morning Folks, another day another Challenge.....this time it's the turn for Craftitude. A new Anything Goes/Falling Leaves starts this morning. Our Sponsor this week is:- Milk Coffee and I have used their digi Girl cleaning autumn leaves.

For the base I used backing paper card from Creata, I prined digi onto water colour card and coloured in using Promarkers, Almond, Blush, Sandstone, Tan, Cool Grey 4, Burnt Orange, Red, Pear and Marsh Green. I die cut this out using Spellbinders labels eight and mounted onto Creata mirror board also die cut. I finished off by using ribbon/bow by Papermania and for my flower embelishment, I made this using Joy Craft flower and leaf dies, both of which can be bought at Creata and completed with gems from my stash!
