Wedding Day - Julia Spiri New Challenge

Hiya Crafty Friends, Bloggers and Followers.... Would love to first of all welcome my new follower Wendy, hi and thanks so much for joining my 'Krafty little world' ... please feel free to stop by anytime!!  I'm here today sharing my DT inspiration for our new challenge over at Julia Spiri Challenge. As always we are an 'Anything Goes'' Challenge, but we do have twists too and this fortnight is ''Wedding'', so anything Wedding related!! ... For my inspiration, I decided to create a keepsake card and brought out one of my many ''Glitter Girl'' boards and my favourite, the ''Bookatrix''!! Not made one in a while so thought this was very apt for this challenge! The image I have used is the stunning Wedding Day from the ''Wedding Collection''. For more wonderful images, challenge details etc, please follow the links at the bottom of the page!! And so here is what I created:-
My Project
Products Used
Julia Spiri - Wedding Day image
ProMarkers - Ivory, Primrose, Vanilla, Pear Green, Meadow Green, Sandstone and Caramel
Copic Ciao - Milky White and Cherry White
Crafter's Companion - Watercolour card
Glitter Girl's Keepsake - Bookatrix embossing board and Cream patterned card
Joanna Sheen Signature - Horseshoe die
Britannia - Rose leaf die
Joy Craft - Stand die
Creata - Silver mirror card
Prima - Cream roses
Ranger Stickles Glue - Diamond and Star Dust
From my stash - white plain card for stand, Cream silk embossed card, Cream silk card, Lace trim, Cream ribbon, Pearl sprays, Small cream roses and gems

I first of all embossed and cut out both ''bookatrix'' layers and edged with the stickles glue, then set aside to dry. In the meantime I printed, coloured and carefully cut out the image on the watercolour card. I die cut silver mirror card with the horseshoe die and decorated as shown, with the flowers, die cut leaves, ribbons, pearls and gems. I then layered the ''pages together along with satin ribbon and bow, adding the image on one side of the book and the horseshoe on the other. Finishing off with some more flowers, leaves and gems and placing on the die cut stand... I even created the small cream flower 'favour' too! The scroll is my own from my own Wedding Day, that my late Dad got made for me!
Close Ups
