Just Swinging

Hi there

Today is my turn to share with you a little bit of inspiration for LeAnn's World 101. For this I chose to use this sweet little cutie called Just Swinging. I had so much fun creating this, I hope you like it!!

To create this, I matt and layered brown linen card with some blue flittered card on to a 5x7 card blank. I die cut a tree using the same brown card, then halved in two and placed as shown. I added little paper die cut blossom flowers on the tree and some falling. The image, I printed, coloured and carefully cut out, adding to the branches of the tree. I finished off with some more die cut flowers and foliage.

Materials Used
LeAnn's World 101 - 'Just Swinging' Image
ProMarkers Limited Edition - Morning Mist, March Hare, Tawny Owl, Budding Rose, April Shower and Polar Blue
ProMarkers - Cool Grey 5, Sandstone and Shale

Treasured Memories - Tag

Hi there

Hope you are all keeping safe and managing to get through this lockdown ok with plenty to occupy yourselves!! I've just been getting on with a few odd jobs around the house that needed to be done since we moved in. My mojo had gone in to lockdown too and it's only just started to come back again. This is the first project I've worked on the past week... normally would take me less than a day to make up! But at least I've managed to finish it... So here it is, a tag... I'm thinking of creating a memory book of my ancestors as I enjoy reserching my family history too and will add this to it...Hope you like it!!

To create this, I used a piece of kraft card (16.5cm x 7.5cm), shaped in to a tag. For the background, I stamped the card twice using Artisan Design 'Speckle' stamp along with Distress Oxide Inks 'Candied Apple' and 'Mowed Lawn'. On top of this I used Artisan Design 'Sunspots' stencil with some Imagination Crafts 'Welsh Gold' sparkle medium, once dried I added another stamped layer using Distress Oxide 'Seedless Preserves'. I sprinkled a spray of water, to let the oxides 'pop', then added some heat embossed 'gold' detail dots in between. The mini frame I added, was part of my winnings that I gilded with some wax. I then added a picture, which happens to be that of my late Grt Grandmother as a young girl, she was about 13/14 years old at the time. I placed this on top of a cream linen heart embellishment I had in my stash that I coloured using Promarker and some added gilded wax. The flower decoration was made up using cream crocheted flower, again coloured with Promarker, die cut cream flower that I coloured using the same oxide inks and adding a small resin flower in centre. I finished of with some die cut leaves & butterfly, 'treasured memories' sentiments and some various ribbons, coloured to compliment. I think it turned out well, what do you think? I'd love to know!

Materials Used
Artisan Design (Pete Simpson) - 'Speckle' Stamp and  'Sunspots' Stencil (metallic frame from Pete's FB giveaway)
Ranger - Distress Oxide Ink (Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn & Seedless Preserves) for background, Distress Ink ( Tea Dye) for sentiment tags

PSX - Embossing Powder (Gold Detail)
Hunkydory - Moonstone Dies (Floral Fancy) & (Lovely Leaves)
