Hi there,
Hi there,
Gosh, the months are now flying in, I can't believe it's August already! Well that means one thing, a new challenge has started today over at Cute as a Button. As normal our challenge theme is 'Anything Goes', but we do have an optional twist and this month it's 'Polka Dots and/or Stripes'. Why not give it a go, we'd love to see what you create...so with that, here is my project for this month, I am using this super image called Summertime, isn't she so adorable, I hope this inspires you!!!
For this I have used a 5x7 kraft card blank, on to which I matt and layered polka dot card along with sandpaper for sand and blue colour core card for the sea, this I sanded and also added die cut waves for effect. The image I carefully cut out and coloured with promarkers, adding some gold pen to highlight hair. I decorated with a couple of shells, die cut foliage and wood 'FUN' to finish...

On a 7x7 scalloped card blank, I matt and layered tartan adorable scorable with gold mirri card for my base. The poinsettia is a new stamp from For the Love of Stamps called ''Perfect Poinsettia'' and is absolutely fabulous! I stamped the image 6 times on watercolour card then cut each in different sizes to be able to decoupage it. Before putting together, I coloured with my LuminArte Twinkling H2O's that I haven't used in a very long time and I must say I think it turned out brill!. I added some 'Ice Diamond' glitter to the edges of the leaves and petals for effect. I die cut holly leaves and berries from the same watercolour card and coloured with the H2O's too and adding pearl drops to complete the berries, then die cut pine sprigs from gold mirri card. Finishing off with a die cut sentiment and some pearl gems.

Hi there,
Hi there
Hi there all,
After a short break, I'm now back to doing what I have missed...crafting...It's been a roller coaster of a couple of months sadly with family bereavement and illness and also during that time I lost my crafty mojo too, but hope it's back for a good while now!!!
Hi there,
Hi there
Hi there
Today I am sharing with you a card I created for the Cute as a Button Progressive Challenge that I entered. The image they offered was this cute image called 'Kiss Me - Little Shop of Horrors'...Isn't it fabulous...It reminds me of the time that my son played the lead part in his schools musical play adaption of 'Little Shop of Horrors'! Here is what I created, hope you like it?!!!
